Delaware County Health Department

Delaware County is thrilled to launch the Delaware County Health Department (DCHD)! Starting in April of 2022, DCHD is now handling all of Delaware County's health complaints, requests and questions. DCHD will bring together various partners and sectors to work together to implement change. Priorities such as education, safe and affordable housing, green space, nutrition, walkable streets, access to quality healthcare, racial justice, and employment opportunities will lead to positive health outcomes for all residents and have a meaningful impact on their quality of life. The mission of the Delaware County Health Department is to promote, protect and assure conditions are optimal for all residents of Delaware County through leadership, prevention, response, and partnership with the community. Because the foundation for good health includes factors outside of hospitals and doctors' offices, DCHD is committed to the spirit of collaboration to build healthy and thriving communities.
