Property Tax in Haverford Township

Properties in Haverford Township are taxed based on information and assessments provided by the Delaware County Assessors Office. Questions regarding individual property assessments should be directed to the County officers at 610-891-4379. It's important to note that a property's total real estate taxes are comprised of three taxes from three different taxing authorities. Each taxing authority - Delaware County, Haverford Township School District and Haverford Township - each set their own rates, and bill and collect their own taxes.

For more information, see Property Tax Overview.

In addition, every property connected to the public sewer system in Haverford Township is required to pay an annual sewer rent for the service. Annual sewer rent is based on water usage and the sewer rental rate is determined by the Board of Commissioners annually. For more information, please see our Sewer Rent page.

Trash service fees are billed on the annual Township tax bill. The current collection schedule of trash pickup twice per week and recycling once per week is handled by Haverford Township's Sanitation Department and largely financed through the trash service fee paid by residents. Annual trash service fee is determined by the Board of Commissioners each year as a part of the budget process and is enacted via Ordinance. For more information, please see our Trash Fee page.

The system also has other notifications you may opt into for up to date information on weather, health issues, transportation, transit, etc.
Delco Alert
If we experience any storm or event that would interrupt township services, we would be broadcasting updates from this system. In an extreme emergency of a declared snow emergency, we do have the capability to notify all homeowners.
