Northern Segment (shown in orange to the left above) - gravel, dirt and grass surfaces - Can be accessed from the north from Darby Creek Road. There is no access point at the southern end of this segment due to it ended at private property.
Center Segment (shown in orange in the middle above) - multi-use macadam trail - Can be accessed from the north at the trailhead off of Hilltop Road or from the south at Merry Place.
Hilltop Spur - (shown in pink in the middle above) - fairly steep, wood-chip and dirt trail - Can be accessed from Hilltop Park and Steel Field or from the Township Parks and Recreation Office at 599 Glendale Road.
Southern Segment  - (shown in orange to the right above) - grass, stone and dirt surfaces - Can be accessed from Burmont Road at Warrior Road and runs all the way to the intersection of Township Line Road and State Road.

Grange Trail (shown in light purple) - dirt with some paved surfaces - Connects the Grange Field, to the north, to Grove Place in the south, and offers access to the Historic Grange Estate.
Grange Drive (shown in light blue) - dirt with some paved surfaces - Connects the southern and northern parts of Grove Place, provides access to the Historic Grange Estate.

Haverford Reserve Trails
Parkview Drive Sidepath (shown in brown) - macadam path - Can be accessed from the north at Darby Road, where it connects with the Buck-Meadows-Williams Bike Route, and it runs alongside Parkview Drive through the Haverford Reserve area.
Meadow Trail (shown in bright red) - steep, dirt path - Can be accessed from Parkview Drive at the end of the Parkview Drive Sidepath. The Meadow Trail loops back toward the Old Gray Trail and also connects to the PECO and Northbrook Trails.
Athertyn Trail (shown in yellow) - wood-chip, mostly flat trail - Accessed from Parkview Drive at the start of the Meadow Trail, the Athertyn Trail runs through the residential area of the Haverford Reserve and runs parallel to the PECO Trail and Parkview Drive Sidepath before connecting with the PECO Trail.
PECO Trail (shown in blue) - wood-chip trail - The PECO Trail runs through the wooded area back behind the Athertyn Trail. Accessed via the Meadow Trail, the PECO Trail runs up toward Darby Road before connecting with the Athertyn Trail and later the Parkview Drive Sidepath.
Old Gray Trail (shown in gray) - steep, dirt trail - Accessed via the Meadow Trail, the Old Gray Trail extends off of the Meadow Trail toward Darby Road in the northeast and back in the direction of the Blue Route (I-476) in the southeast.
Northbrook Trail (shown in magenta) - steep, dirt trail - Accessed from the parking lot of the Community Recreation & Environmental Center, the Northbrook Trail is a wooded trail that ends at the Meadow Trail. The Veterans Trail starts and ends along the Northbrook Trail.
Veterans Trail (shown in green) - wood-chip trail - The Veterans Trail is accessed via the Northbrook Trail and connects to one of the legs of the Blue Route Trail.
Blue Route Trail (shown in light blue) - dirt, unpaved trail - Two access legs on either side of the Community Recreation & Environmental Center provide a path to the Blue Route Trail and other trails west of I-476. To get to the Blue Route Trail, you should take the trail to the left, along Darby Creek, after walking under the I-476 bridges. The Blue Route Trail runs close to the bank of Darby Creek and ends shortly after it intersects with the Railroad Trail.
Backwoods Trail (shown in purple) - dirt, unpaved trail - Accessed via the Blue Route Trail, the Backwoods Trail winds through the woods with many twists, turns and loops back toward the Blue Route Trail. The Backwoods Trail provides access to the Railroad Trail and the two intersect multiple times.
Railroad Trail (shown in dark red) - dirt, unpaved trail - Accessed from the Backwood Trails, the Railroad Trail runs along the roadbed of the old Newtown Square Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad. About halfway along the trail, it swings off the roadbed and around an old timber trestle. The Railroad Trail ends where it connects with the Blue Route Trail and intersects with the Backwoods Trail multiple times.
Pink Trail - paved path - Runs between the open playing fields at the Reserve and alongside the Freedom Playground.
Switchback Trail (shown in aqua) - unpaved, mostly flat path - Can be accessed from the Pink Trail and connects the open playing fields and Pink Trail to the Southbrook Trail.
Southbrook Trail (shown in orange) - macadam and dirt surfaces, almost level - Can be accessed from the south by the Dog Park and connects to the Switchback Trail via steps. The Southbrook Trail continues on as a dirt trail after the Switchback Trail further into the woods where it connects to the steep Woods Trail.
Woods Trail (shown in light purple) - steep, dirt path - Runs from Southbrook Trail all the way up to Darby Road. The Woods and Southbrook Trails combine to run from Darby Road to Parkview Drive, just north of Marple Road.

Brookline Segment - macadam surface - The Brookline Segment of the Pennsy Trail runs from the parking lot of the Haverford Area YMCA to Manoa Road, behind the current Police Station, and the site of the future Haverford Township's new Municipal Services Building and Police Station.
Llanerch Segment - wood-chip trail - The Llanerch Segment of the Pennsy Trail runs from the bend of Llanerch Avenue to Manoa Road where there is a steep hill down to the roadway to access the crosswalk to connect to the Brookline Segment.

Powder Mill Valley Trails
Karakung Trail (shown in yellow) - macadam path - One of the most popular trails in the Powder Mill Valley, it starts near the Norristown High Speed Line overpass over Manoa Road and crosses Karakung Drive twice and ends just short of the Beechwood-Bookline Station along Karakung Drive. The Karakung Trail runs past the historic Lawrence Cabin and Nitre Hall.
Karakung Trail Extension (shown in light orange) - woodchip and dirt trail - Starting just north of the Karakung Trail, the Karakung Trail Extension starts at Lakeside Avenue in the south, and runs alongside Karakung Drive to where it ends, just past the Karakung Swim Club.
Powder Mill Trail (shown in dark orange) - Running from the Powder Mill Valley Park playground to the end of Johnson Road, the Powder Mill Trail is on the other side of Coobs Creek.
Gest Tract Trail (shown in light blue toward the top) - The Gest Tract Trail can be accessed at the end of Pelham Avenue and it runs through the Gest Tract to the parking lot for Karakung Field. This trail continues along the driveway to Karakung Field to provide access to Karakung Swim Club via a crosswalk across Karakung Drive.
Grange Trail (shown in light purple) - dirt with some paved surfaces - Connects the Grange Field, to the north, to Grove Place in the south, and offers access to the Historic Grange Estate.
Grange Drive (shown in light blue) - dirt with some paved surfaces - Connects the southern and northern parts of Grove Place, provides access to the Historic Grange Estate.
Carroll Park West Trail (shown in purple) - dirt trail - The Carroll Park West Trail runs down along the edge of Cobbs Creek from the bottom of Grange Drive to where it ends at Township Line Road.
Carroll Park East Trail (shown in red) - dirt and rock trail - Running along the opposite bank of Cobbs Creek, the Carroll Park East Trail runs from Manoa Road to just short of Township Line Road.
